The National Urban Alliance for Effective Education (NUA) is pleased to call for program proposals for NUA's Teaching for Intelligence: Believe to Achieve Conference (Albany, NY, March 28 to 30, 2008).
Your presentation should highlight your professional work and expertise. However, the presentation must be tied to one or more of the conference’s themes, must support the goals of NUA, and should be done in an interactive format that will involve the audience. In addition, all presenters should consider how their presentation will be structured to actively engage their audience in the material being presented.
The conference will supply either an overhead projector or a LCD projector. The presenter must provide all other electronic equipment, such as laptops, CD or DVD players, and/or speakers. All presenters are encouraged to have handouts for their presentations. The conference planners will communicate the size of the room in which their presentation will be given. The expense of handouts will be born by the presenter. It is the intention of the conference sponsors to produce a DVD that will contain all of the handouts for all conference presentations. Copies of handouts, done as a Word file, or as JPEG file, or as an Excel file, or as a PDF file must be submitted to the Conference planners by January 31, 2008 in order to be included on the DVD.
All proposals must be completed on-line using the form that follows.
The proposal deadline for the Albany, NY conference is
November 18, 2007.

Proposals received after October 15, 2007 will be considered, but will not appear in preliminary conference information.
