A conference in March will bring thousands of educators to Albany to discuss raising graduation rates for minority students and reducing the achievement gap with white students. The National Urban Alliance for Effective Education scheduled its annual conference, "Teaching for Intelligence: Believe to Achieve," for March 28-30 at the Empire State Plaza.

US, Israeli NGOs cooperate to fight mistaken special ed placements

The US-based National Urban Alliance for Effective Education and the International Center for the Enhancement of Learning Potential in Jerusalem signed their partnership agreement at the Knesset and plan to begin working with children in 20 US cities as soon as possible.
