The Torch is Passed - Birmingham to Albany
NUA’s Teaching For Intelligence: Believe To Achieve Conference in Birmingham, Alabama (April 28 to 30, 2007) was a huge success. Twelve hundred educators came together for three days of learning, interacting and renewal. And when the conference closed, the Torch of Hope, symbolizing and celebrating what educators and their students can achieve, had been passed from Birmingham to Albany, New York, the site of the next NUA’s Teaching For Intelligence: Believe To Achieve Conference (March 28 to 30, 2008).
Come to Albany in the spring and be a part of the most important educational experience of the 2007-2008 school year.
- NUA’s TFI: BTA Albany will explore the most important and critical issues facing educators today.
- NUA’s TFI: BTA Albany will have thirty scholars, educators and advocates, not only defining the issues, but proposing real answers that educators can immediately apply in their district, in their school, in their classroom.
- NUA’s TFI: BTA Albany will be the conference where learning and renewal are merged with the certainty that America’s schools can be changed to places where every child will prosper and grow to the highest possible level.
- NUA’s TFI: BTA Albany will be the conference where a good education for every child is recognized as a moral and ethical imperative, and a civil right bestowed on every American child.
NUA’s Teaching For Intelligence: Believe To Achieve Conference in Albany has expanded themes which will include the critical issues of multi-lingual education and the roles of leaders in providing all of our children with the best possible education.
While many of America’s leading educators and advocates for change in American schools will be keynote or featured presenters, just as importantly, will be those educators, who come out of the “trenches,” and present about what is effective and working in their city, or district, or school, or classroom.
This conference, then, will be both an educational experience for educators and a celebration of a bright future for all American children.
Please look at the featured presenters’ page, the themes’ page and the preliminary program page to get a feel for how important and seminal this conference will be. To register for this experience, please go to the registration page. |
