AMERICAN EDUCATION…
FLIGHT and PLIGHT?
NO WAY…
CALL IT BRIGHT!
Historians will tell us when it happened. Psychologists will opine about why it happened. But Educators know that things are changing in American schools.
This is not to say that it has come 180 degrees. Clearly, there is a long way to go. But things are changing for the better. There are new recognitions. There are new initiatives. There are new strategies that are working. And there are quantifiable results that tell us, we are going in the right direction.
NUA’s TEACHING FOR INTELLIGENCE: BELIEVE TO ACHIEVE Conference in Birmingham (April 27 to 29, 2007) will examine the educational issues facing today’s schools and teachers, children and parents, and, ultimately, all of society.
Many of America’s leading educators and advocates for change in American schools will be keynote or featured presenters. But, just as important, will be those educators, who come out of the “trenches,” and present about what is effective and working in their city, or district, or school, or classroom.
This conference, then, will be both an educational experience for educators and a celebration of a bright future for all American children.
Please look at the featured presenters’ page, the themes’ page and the preliminary program page to get a feel for how important and seminal these conferences will be. And to register for this experience, please go to the registration page.
