The National Urban Alliance For Effective Education is pleased to announce that Carole Kamerman of Kalamazoo, Michigan is the winner
of the drawing held for a free registration for NUA’s Teaching For Intelligence: Believe To Achieve Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 3 to 5, 2006. The drawing was held at the ASCD National Conference in Chicago, Illinois, where NUA had a booth.

David and Roger Johnson well known educators and researchers will present at NUA’s Teaching For Intelligence: Believe To Achieve Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota (November 3-5, 2006). The Doctors Johnson presentation will highlight their work on cooperative learning and especially their latest research into the necessity of conflict resolution in schools.

Jonathan Kozol To Present In Birmingham
NUA’s Teaching For Intelligence: Believe To Achieve Conference being held in Birmingham, Alabama on April 27 to 29, 2007 will have the very well known writer and educator Jonathan Kozol as a keynote presenter. Mr. Kozol’s presentation will speak to many of the issues that he has raised in his latest book, The Shame of a Nation.
